Well I finally was able to get my first home time this last Thursday, and will be heading back out again on Wednesday coming up this week. The truck I am in had to get a over head done and a few other repairs. It is a very nice truck, a 2006 western star with the stratosphere package and lowboy ride. So it is very plush and easy on the inside since I spend a great deal of time in it. Then here in a few weeks I will switch out to a 2003 Kenworth W900L with the aeromax sleeper package. Its a tiny bit smaller but is alot more user friendly for what I am doing with it anyways.
Since getting back home this time around, I have gotten caught up on missed sleep time. hauling cattle just doesn't seem to allow a great deal of time for sleep or downtime. So with me being new to hauling livestock, I am having to learn to adjust my body and mind over to less rest and more running. It is kind of hard to do for me as I haven't ever done this but I will adjust with time.
My wife and daughter were and are happy to see me and spend time together again. I slept pretty much the first day home, and alittle more the next day. But now I seem to be doing better and more rested so I am able to get around more with less sleep time again.
The wife set this blog up for me so I am able to let others know what I am up to and how things are progressing on the road. So I appreciate her doing this, cause I am not real good with this stuff. So as time goes, I will post up pictures, and small videos of my travels and downtime excursions as well as some of the wall things I run into along the way.
Well I hope to keep you all up to date of my events, and entertained as well on how I do things; which can be pretty funny to see or hear about. For now i am going to just continue resting and enjoying the downtime. Have fun and be safe if you travel or work on the road.
